Yosh Hayashi is from Chugiak, Alaska. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from The University of Alaska Anchorage as well as an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University here in Chicago, Illinois. He has acted, directed, produced, and worked tech in over 40 productions thus far in his theatrical career. Some of his past credits include Cassius in Julius Caesar and Charles in Blithe Spirit (UAA). Dr Jason Posner in Wit, Randolph in Lake Hollywood, and Kipps in The Woman in Black (Cyrano's Playhouse). Slim in Of Mice and Men (ACT). Uncle Adolph in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Raymond Brock in Plenty, Montano in Othello, James in The Collection, and Leo Katz in Pentecost (TTS). Other recent Chicago credits include Ranger Tom in Jeff Daniels' Escanaba in da Moonlight (Circle Theatre), The Man With One Story and Others in The Piano Tuner, Montgomery in The Island of Dr. Moreau (Lifeline Theatre) and Arturo Ui in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Steep Theatre). He recently played Hayes in Steep Theatre's The Hollow Lands and can be seen in the upcoming film A Cadaver Christmas. He is represented by Gray Talent Group. Yosh has also coordinated and adjudicated at The Edward Albee Last Frontier Theatre Conference and is a recognized Actor/Combatant by the SAFD 2006 (Rapier and Dagger, Unarmed, and Knife).
